Sending
Files to Our FTP Site
In many cases, attaching
files to an email message will yield unpredictable
results. Uploading files to our FTP Site is
an easy and inexpensive way to send files to
DIFI, as well as the most reliable form of electronic
submission. You must have a program that will
access ftp sites in order to send your files
this way. Shareware is readily available. For
Macintosh, we recommend Transmit
or Fetch
For IBM/clones we suggest WS_FTP.

Just
Give Me The Basics
Before you access the ftp
site, compress the files you want to send us
into one file using Stuffit or PKZip. Be sure
to include your main layout file, any placed
graphic or eps files and all of the fonts used
in the job (including all screen and printer
fonts). It is also helpful to include a basic
read me text file listing all the files you
have compressed and any special instructions
for your job. Send an email to your salesperson
alerting him or her of the job, and attach a
PDF that represents the final layout file.
If you're an old hand at
uploading files to ftp sites, use the following
setup to access the site:
Host: ftp.difi.biz
User ID: difiprepress
Password: contact your salesperson
for password
Directory: leave blank
If you experience any problems, please contact
your salesperson.
